Top: TopShop / Jacket: Forever21 (on sale for under $40!) / Skirt: Sold out, but similar here / Heels: Nordstrom / Sunglasses: Old but similar here / Clutch: Anthropologie / Trunk: Vintage, but I have been dying to get one of these from Trousseau and Co.

While nudes are definitely trending, I think we can all agree that they’re not always the easiest to pull off. With that said, with the new year approaching, I’ve been trying to be a little more adventurous with my style…and so far, I’m liking the results!

In this particular look, I decided to mix things up a bit and pair lighter shades with a fun, playful pop of color. I styled this amazing pencil skirt and think it works super-well with the rest of the nude pieces in my look like this slinky top, oversized trench and these amazing ankle strap heels. The trick here is to stay in one color family, but also throw a little texture in the mix, which I did with this sweet Anthropologie clutch. I love how the final look is clean, sleek, and forward-thinking. What do you think?
