Merry Christmas in Wine Country!
The holidays are the perfect time to not only enjoy wine but to give the gift of wine! It’s one of my go-to gifts because let’s be real, who doesn’t love a nice bottle of wine?! It sort-of is the gift that keeps on giving!
However, figuring out what wine to gift or buy during the holidays can be a little overwhelming. With so many choices it’s not always an easy decision to make. Before Thanksgiving I shared my favorite wine line up and so many of you asked for links and more details about the wine so here goes the best wines to gift! I can promise you that with this selection you won’t be disappointed!
The Best Wines to Gift these Holidays:
Kendall Jackson Reserve Rose
This Rose was made from grapes that come from Santa Barbara and Sonoma County. Cool costal vineyards make for the perfect Pinot Noir! This Rose is crisp with tastes of grapefruit, strawberry, and white floral notes. It’s the perfect start to any holiday party! Not to mention it’s only $17 so be sure and stock up!
Capture Sauvignon Blanc 2018
We decided to open this Sauvignon Blanc for Thanksgiving and the Sauvignon Blanc lovers LOVED this! This wine is made using stainless steel fermentation which gives it brilliant acidity and has a fresh finish!
Copain Tous Ensemble Chardonnay
Tous Ensemble means “All together” in French which makes this a perfect choice during the holidays! I call this the Chardonnay for non chardonnay lovers! It has flavors of pineapple, mint, lemon, and apple which makes it crisp and not buttery at all!
La Crema Russian River Pinot Noir 2016
This is the PERFECT red for the holidays! With flavors of cherry, raspberry, baking spices, and chocolate you can’t go wrong. This wine is a definitely one of my go-to’s!
Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
I find that the holidays is the perfect time to splurge a little on wine and this is one that is definitely worth the splurge! Although this is on the higher price point its worth every penny! It’s full bodied flavor of blackberry, boysenberry, and Bing cherry makes for a party in your mouth! It’s DELICIOUS!
Gran Moraine Brut Rose
I love to finish off the night with some bubbles and this Brut Rose is the perfect choice! It’s higher priced but such a treat so it’s worth it! It has a great balance and flavors of tangerine, strawberry, and nectarine! Ending (or beginning) your holiday part with this is sure to please your guests!
