A Very Happy and Local Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday, hands down! However, this year, the meaning of this holiday has been taken to a whole new level. Since October 8th when the fires in Wine Country happened, I have truly never felt more grateful for the people I have in my life and the roof I have over my head.

This year, Thanksgiving for most people in my community is going to be a very difficult one. Many of my friends and neighbors have lost their homes, which is not only going to change the way they celebrate, but also change the way they feel about gratitude and thankfulness.

Survivors guilt (I plan to do a post on this soon) set aside, I am going to try and do my part this Thanksgiving and buy EVERY single item I use from my décor to our food from local Sonoma County vendors. Many of you may not realize that these fires have affected not only people’s living situations but also MANY people’s jobs. That said, the whole SHOP LOCAL movement is more critical than ever right now.

If you’re interested in helping, I have done the guesswork for you, creating a Thanksgiving table using items I found at the Barlow Supply Co, flowers from California Sister, and let’s not forget Sonoma County wine! Side note: if you need any recommendations on which brands are best, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Love the way this looks as much as I do? Thanks! Do you have any plans to support your local community this season?

PS here is a list of Local Sonoma County markets I urge you to shop at this Thanksgiving:

Your tablescape is gorgeous! I cannot begin to fathom what your neighbours are going through. I’m so glad you and your family are safe.

Thank you so much babe! It’s definitely a nightmare of a situation but Sonoma County is strong and will come back. Thanks for the love! xo
