Putting together a beautiful (and delicious!) cheese plate can be an overwhelming task. With so many options out there, it can be hard to choose the flavors and accompaniments that work best.
My tips are pretty simple when it comes to creating the perfect plate. To start, I always begin with a beautiful tray, platter, or cutting board. I am a big believer that this is almost as important as the cheese itself and that it sets the stage for what’s to come – the cheese!
For this particular plate, I used one of my favorite boards from Sur la Table and went with a truffle theme. I grabbed some Rain Forest crackers – they’re my fave because of the mix of fruits and nuts inside, which really brings out the flavors of the cheese. On the side, I added some yummy green olives, a few truffle macaron almonds, and red grapes for a gorgeous pop of color. The result? A tasty (and simple!) cheese plate that you and your guests will love.
Disclaimer: I’m not a big meat person, but if you and your guests are into it, add some prosciutto and salami!
