Monday Must-Haves: Valentine’s Day at Home

While it’s always nice to go all out on V-day, this year, Mark and I are planning something different. In lieu of our typical date night, we’re opting to stay in, cook a nice dinner, and keep things simple. With that said, for this week’s Monday Must-Haves, I’m sharing what’s on the menu for our night at home!

Cocktail: Blood Orange Bourbon Smash via How Sweet It Is
This lovely libation not only tastes good, but it looks pretty, too. It’s sweet and tangy with a twist! LOVE.

Appetizer: Balsamic Strawberry & Goat Cheese Crostini via Cooking For Keeps
I’ll be the first to admit that cheese is a major weakness of mine. These tasty apps are the perfect mix of sweet and savory (my favorite way to start a meal!).

Main Course: Caprese Grilled Chicken via Cooking Classy
Healthy and tasty, this recipe is a go-to at the Altes house. It’s perfectly filling, but not overpowering, which is perfect for a date-night meal.

Dessert: DIY Heart Cheesecake via Lauren Conrad
I’m a major fan of cheesecake…but throw some pretty hearts on top and I’m an all-out fanatic. This recipe is hands-down one of the best I’ve tried…plus, you can make it ahead of time so you’re not scrambling on the day of.

Do you have any fun Valentine’s Day traditions, or are you switching things up this year?
