Babymoon at Carneros Resort and Spa

Imagine…a 27-acre resort surrounded by views of the Napa Valley, 3 restaurants that satisfy anyone’s palette, cozy cottages, suites, and homes with cute rocking chairs on each porch, separate swimming pools for families and adults, and the most impeccable customer service I’ve ever experienced. Sound too good to be true? Think again. Welcome to the Carneros Resort and Spa where all these things are reality.

When I was first pregnant with baby number 2, I knew for sure Mark and I would be taking a little “babymoon”. What I wasn’t expecting was getting the opportunity to enjoy our babymoon only 45 minutes from our home.

Upon our arrival to Carneros Resort, we were greeted with refreshments, Mark opted for a glass of Napa Valley wine and I chose some yummy water infused with lemon and strawberries. From the second we got there we could tell the staff was there to cater to our every need, and that they did! We were taken to our cute little cottage in the Redtail neighborhood of the resort. Right when we walked in it felt like home – a spacious room with a fireplace, the most comfortable bed, a back patio decked out with a two-person lounge chair and table, a bathroom with a huge soaking tub, a walk in shower, and my very favorite part – the outdoor shower! What’s nice is that this resort offers different types of cottages, suites, and even houses to accommodate all group sizes and preferences.
Now we all know that this preggo mama LOVES to eat and let me tell you there is no better place than Carneros resort to do just that! With three different restaurants and a super-cute market on the property, the food options are endless. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience, be sure to try out their restaurant FARM! It was delicious! The Hilltop Dining room offered amazing food with spectacular views! The Market featured Equator coffee, grab and go breakfast in the morning, and mouthwatering sandwiches that were great to take up to the pool! However, I must say our favorite restaurant on the property was Boon Fly Café! I mean they have fried chicken, out of this world donuts, AND root beer floats on their menu! Need I say more? Another aspect to this resort that we both loved was that it was so family friendly. We kept talking about our next visit, and that we would definitely bring the kids along. The kids pool was so perfect for families and was situated right by the gym! We already planned a trip for next spring.

But since we were solo this trip, we spent a lot of time at the adult pool, which was situated on the hilltop of the property with incredible views. When I walked up, it literally took my breath away! It was not only Instagram worthy, but it was incredibly relaxing, too. We’ve been a lot of places in wine country and quite honestly this has been one of our very favorite spots thus far. Everything you need is within walking distance and wine tasting is just a short drive away. If you are looking for your perfect wine country getaway I highly recommend staying at The Carneros Resort and Spa.

Thank you so much to the Carneros Resort and Spa for hosting our stay. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
