Woohoo! Two weekends ago, I was able to get my first break since having Charlotte. And if you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw that I stayed local and went on a little wine country staycation with some gorgeous blogger babes. Most of you already know how much I love Healdsburg, but for those of you that are unfamiliar, Healdsburg is a quaint little town that’s only about 15 minutes south of my house.
I always get so excited to adventure to new places close to home and Hotel Trio has been on my list of spots to stay since opening not too long ago. Upon arrival, their super-friendly staff greeted us with the biggest smiles. I knew we were in for a treat. The rooms exceeded every expectation I had! Each room is like its own little studio with a small kitchen, living space, and spacious bathroom (any bathroom with a vanity is a plus in my book!)! My favorite part? Rose! And, I’m not talking about the wine! Rose was a robot that you could call 24/7 to bring you anything, anytime! It was such a fun, futuristic touch. I couldn’t stop telling Mark about it.
The first winery on our itinerary was Matrix. The spread they had for us was top notch and their wines did not disappoint! Even though it was a gloomy, rainy day, it was so cozy inside with zero lack of yummy wines! That night we went to my very favorite restaurant, Willi’s Seafood. If you’re in Healdsburg, be sure to stop by for a date night or dinner with the girls – the food and atmosphere are fantastic! On day two, we made our way to MacRostie Winery. Now you all know I have been here before and I swear each time I go I am always so impressed by how good their wines are and how friendly and accommodating their staff is! The wine, food spreads, and view are 100% worth making a trek to! Our next stop was J Winery! Oh how I love me some bubbly! And what’s better than a glass of bubbly? When its accompanied by cheese and bread of course! J Winery is by far one of my favorite places to taste wine and eat yummy food! You must make an appointment or stop by for a tasting if you are local or ever traveling to the area. Now for my favorite part….the company! I think we all know that it’s sometimes difficult to jive with everyone on a girls trip, but this was another story. Each of these girls were strangers before this trip and I can honestly say that by the end of it I left with 8 new amazing friends!
My next wine country getaway is coming up soon and I can’t wait for you guys to see where I’m headed this time! Be sure to follow along on my stories for more!
