My dreams of designing a nursery started when I was a little girl. But to be totally honest, those dreams always revolved around a super-pretty and girly space, so when I found out I was having a boy, I was totally stumped when it came to design! With that said, I knew I wanted Austin’s space to be peaceful yet playful, and also flow with the rest of our house which is more on the Shabby Chic side.

As far as furniture, I picked up just about everything from Restoration Hardware Baby and Child because I love the quality and style of everything they offered. I love how this crib had an antique feel to it (bonus – if I ever have a girl, I can reuse it easily!). Our rocker is one of my favorite things in the room – I  highly suggest splurging on a comfortable chair for a nursery as it makes late night cuddle and reading sessions so much more comfortable.

Today, this is one of my favorite rooms in our home. Soon, we’ll be turning the nursery into a master bedroom addition, and transitioning Austin into a new big boy room. So exciting!
