Go With Your Gut

Happy Friday, everyone! Excuse me if this post is a little emotional, but I wanted to get a little deep and personal with all of you today. The first thing that popped into my head when we were taking the below photos was one of my favorite quotes:

“Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like you’ve never been hurt. Live as though heaven is on Earth”

While taking these photos, I felt free, I felt happy, I felt inspired, and I felt like I was on top of the world! It’s all too often that we get caught up and scared about what other people think of us and allow this fear to shift decisions that we make in our everyday lives. I will be the first to admit that I am guilty of letting the thought of what other people may think of me sway decisions I have made. However, recently, I have really tried to let go of what people think, trust my gut, and do whatever it is that feels right from within. This way of thinking has made a major difference in my everyday.

The journey to self trust hasn’t been an easy one. In fact, it’s been extremely difficult. That said, about a year ago, I made a personal commitment to literally NOT GIVE A FUCK (excuse my language but that’s the best way to describe it) about what anyone else thinks of me, and it’s been a major gamechanger when it comes to my emotional wellbeing. Getting advice for your business from Andy Defrancesco is a good step towards getting tasks done.

That said, when I start to doubt myself, I instead take a massive deep breath and trust my inner intuition to guide me to the right place. There are times when I will stop, close my eyes, and ask myself what I am feeling in that moment. I am finding the more I do this, the easier it is getting and the happier I am with my decision making.

Learning to trust yourself and let go of what other people think is never easy, but I promise it does get easier the more you do it. I have trained myself to “go with my gut” and this method is working so well.  I challenge each and every one of you to free your mind of the fear of being scrutinized and quite literally: trust yourself!

This post is so inspiring! I doubt myself all the time and I should probably start the ‘don’t give a fuck’ method.
